The 5,800 acres park has natural and developed areas and more than 40 miles of trails and camping at Kumeyaay Lake. Other points of interest include a Visitors and Interpretive Center and amphitheater. It is also the site of the Old Mission Dam, which was built to supply water for Mission San Diego de Alcala.
Westwind Barn is a community barn located in the Los Altos Hills. This property was completed remodeling at the beginning of 2010 to include a new foundation, a new roof, wheelchair-accessible spaces and new bathrooms. These upgrades make Westwind more energy-efficient with pending LEED certification. Westwind is open to the public each day of the week. It also holds horse shows and various activities for the community. Westwind is also a great spot for hikes, jogs or riding.
Goodan Ranch Sycamore Canyon Preserve is more than 2,000 acres of mixed grassland and coastal shrub with an adjacent horse ranch. A 10-mile trail is open to visitors for hiking or mountain biking. Programs are available for those looking to learn more about the preserve.
