The East Greenwich Yacht Club is a private club for boaters that's been around since 1905. Members have either moorings or slips on one of the several docks the club owns near the mouth of Greenwich Cove. There are 10 to 15 moorings available to transient boaters.
A clubhouse and a bar are open to the public on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 4 to 8pm during summertime. The clubhouse also functions as a event facility that can be rented by the public.

This local yacht club is set up on a private drive right on the water. Quannapowitt was founded in 1884, and its Web site says it is the oldest inland yachting organization in the nation.
