This historic, meticulously-maintained building was originally founded in 1923 and has operated as a hub for culture and arts in Spring Lake ever since. The building houses the Spring Lake Public Library, the Spring Lake Women's Club, the Spring Lake Dance School and the Spring Lake Community House Theatre, home of the Spring Lake Theatre Company. The theatre hosts a number of professional quality productions each year.
The AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center is a full service movie theater and arts center based in Silver Spring. The center offers a wide range of services including screening films, production work and educational programs among others. The facility houses numerous theaters and has the ability to screen 16 to 70mm and high-definition digital video. The center also has a large conference area and provides rentals for private events such as film celebrations or corporate events. The theater also has a café and concession stand and has a wide range of products including beer, coffee, tea and numerous candy choices such as M&M's, Twizzlers, Reese's Pieces, Raisinets, Milk Duds and Junior Mints among others.
