Northwest Chicago Mission & Dianetics Center is the Chicago branch of the Scientology faith. It offers Dianetic Auditing Sessions and faith-based learning.

With its manicured lawn of rolling hills, Tenrikyo MidWest Church looks more like a small golf course than a house of worship. Tenrikyo serves members of the Japanese community in Des Plaines who practice the monotheistic religion of Tenrikyo.
Set against a beautiful backdrop of landscaped gardens, Cabrini Retreat Center is a tranquil place for retreats, meetings and prayer. Sponsored by the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Cabrini has 70 private bedrooms, meeting rooms that seat three to 80 people, a chapel that seats 100, Cabrini Hall which seats 200 and an indoor pool.
This Presbyterian Church has services in several languages, including Korean and English. It also has outreach programs to the local Korean community.
Alliance for Character in Education strives to provide the best in academic and moral instruction to the students in its two schools, The Willows Academy for girls and Northridge Preparatory School for boys. The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church has been servng Des Plaines for more than 60 years. Offering child care and study groups, it is located on Howard Street, just west of Lee Street.
St. Mary Catholic Parish was founded in 1883. The Parish offers many ministry services and activities outside of Sunday worship, including youth and adult Bible study, youth group, choir, social outreach opportunities through PADS, senior services and food programs. The Parish also conducts congregation activities like exercise classes in its St. Mary Auditorium at 795 Center Street. St. Mary's job placement program helps parishioners who are unemployed or underemployed. Several ministries, including worship service, are available in Spanish. The Parish is affiliated with Our Lady of Destiny Catholic School.
This autocephalous Eastern Orthodox Church has an attached building and a courtyard. The attached building is used for meetings and social activities including music concerts. Providing spiritual guidance and education for over 125 years, St. Mary's continues to grow its congregation and its ministries. Providing programs in both English and Spanish, this church offers numerous ministries including Heart of Mary Social Service Outreach, Adult Formation, and Catholics for Life and Social Justice. The St. Mary School complex is undergoing a new building project so the parish's structures can keep up with its evolving congregation.
Golf Road Baptist Church began as a group of devout residents meeting in a home in 1954. They now worship in a building on West Golf Road, situated on 2.5 acres of land. In addition to church services, there is also a library and media center here, a mission trip ministry and AWANA, a youth program for children ages 3 to 8th grade, where they study the Bible, play games and even get to win prizes.
For more than 50 years the First Presbyterian Church of Des Plaines has served the community through ministry and worship. The church has hospitality programs that reach out to people locally and globally. It's located at the corner of Howard Avenue and Maple Street.
Serving the Des Plaines community for more than 30 years, the International Pentecostal Church of God is a fundemental Bible-believing church that offers guidance and sprituality for Pentecostals. The church has Sunday School classes for children of all ages.
In addition to worship services, Evangelical Free Church offers child care during services, where parents can stay with their child and watch the service from a television in the nursery; a children's church that takes place during the second-half of service; and small group Bible studies for men, women, singles, married couples and mixed groups. The church also has children's ministries, a youth group for teens and a program for young adults who are college-bound or getting started with their careers. The annual summer Vacation Bible School is always themed.
An ethnically diverse congregation adds to the warmth of the church, which also offers services in Spanish and Greek.
This church has a Taiwanese ministry and an English ministry. It is one of four churches in the Chicago area. The congregation serves lunch after Sunday services and participates in several activities, including a ping-pong tournament. Please call for more information.
Iglesia Metodista Hispana is a branch of First United Methodist Church of Des Plaines. Services are held in an adjoining chapel of First United's sanctuary every Sunday at 10am.
The Korean Jang-Sung Church is a Presbyterian church offering Christian services and multi-ethnic missionaries for the Des Plaines' Korean Community. Children's and missionary programs are provided.
Everyone is welcome to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Des Plaines' north side. This church doesn't ask for tithing and is bilingual (Spanish). The several English services include: Public meeting and Watchtower study on Sunday afternoons; congregational bible study, theological ministry school and service meetings on Tuesday evenings. The Spanish services include: Reunion publica and Estudio de la atalaya on Sunday mornings; Estudio de la Biblia, Escuela del ministerio and Reunion de servicio on Wednesday evenings.
