Located in the heart of Wakefield, the Church of St. Francis of Assisi is the oldest Catholic Church in South Kingstown and commands a large, devoted congregation. The church's summer chapel in Matunuck has taken on a life of its own and offers year-round services.

Founded in 1950, Christ the King Church serves thousands of families from South Kingstown and beyond. Located just off the URI campus, the church features a vibrant, active and involved congregation that works in partnership with the university. During the week the church's parking lot is used by commuting URI students, and on the weekend the church operates its Sunday schools at URI facilities.
The church also supports the Domestic Violence Resource Center and the Welcome House, offering material goods like home-made blankets and personnel to help cook in the soup kitchen.
The St. Veronica Chapel is a secondary worship facility for the St. Thomas More Parish. The main church, the St. Thomas More Church, is on Rockland Street near Narragansett Pier. The St. Veronica Chapel is a smaller church that services the community of Bonnet Shores.
St. Matthew's, a Catholic Church with its own elementary and middle school, offers daily masses at 7am Monday through Friday and at 8am on Saturday. Weekend mass is offered on Saturday at 4pm and on Sunday at 7:30am, 9am, 10:30am and 12pm. Confessions are heard Saturday from 3pm-3:45pm. Baptisms are scheduled the first Sunday of every month and require parent preparation. Those looking to get married at St. Matthew's must call one of the Priests at least one year in advance.
