Allentown Press was started in the early seventies in a garage, and later located off Simpson Lane in Clinton, where it was purchased by John Shambarger in 1975. From the beginning, the focus of Allentown Press was to create quality printed products for their customers. Mr. Shambarger, seeing a need to expand, moved the business to Camp Springs, at the corner of Old Branch and Allentown Way. He was joined by Michael Avrick, a former school teacher, and later by Ralph Anzivino, Jr., a graphic artist and owner of his own graphic design business. The three partners worked together for many years to build Allentown Press into a successful enterprise. Then at the height of their success, John was forced to retire because of his health in 1995. Not wishing to rest on their laurels, Mr. Avrick sought to move the business into a building of its own, and to its current location. This was accomplished in January of 1996. Through all of this, Allentown Press has been blessed by many talented and faithful employees who have done the work of serving our customers and making it possible for the business to prosper. Since Mr. Anzivino has semi-retired, Mr. Avrick is left with the task of continuing the growth that began so many years ago. What does the future hold? One thing is certain, it will be filled with change. Few businesses have changed as much as the printing business over the last 30 years. We have changed and will continue to keep abreast of the changes overtaking our industry, as this web site is an example. Stay tuned for future developments.
