DANIEL J. BURVAL, M.D. Daniel J. Burval, M.D. is a graduate of the Cleveland Clinic where he served as Chief Resident. He received extensive training in spinal and orthopedic surgery at the renowned Cleveland Clinic, as well as during his fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Spinal Disorders at OrthoIndy in Indianapolis. At OrthoIndy, he trained under Dr. Terry Trammell who has provided spinal care for all Indy Car drivers since 1984 until retiring in 2014. He was a flight physician for Cleveland Metro LifeFlight from 2004-2008 and is experienced in all levels of trauma care. He has trained at some of the largest trauma centers in the country, lectured nationally and internationally, written research papers and authored a book chapter on spine fractures. Dr. Burval is a graduate of the West Virginia University School of Medicine with Honors and completed his undergraduate degree cum laude in Biology at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He is Board Certified with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Burval is affiliated with Hendersonville Medical Center and Skyline Trauma Center. Outside of work, he cherishes his family, enjoys the water and is an avid runner and skier. He participates with local Boy Scout Adventure trips and is active in his church.
