Founded in 1968 as the Lake Travis News by Harold H. Breadlow, the Hill Country News has been an eye-witness to the incorporation and growth of Cedar Park and Leander, along with the creation through annexation of Williamson Countys largest city, Austin. The Hill Country News has provided local news coverage for this area since long before Cedar Park and Leander became cities. The News has strived to report the news in an unbiased manner, telling both sides of the story even when neither side cared to hear the others point of view. The open-minded approach of listening to all sides about local issues has helped keep the Hill Country News as the utmost authority on what is happening in the Hill Country. As we move into the electronic age with hillcountrynews.com we plan to continue this tradition. The Four Points News is the newest "edition" to Travis County. Still covering Leander ISD, the weekly Four Points News serves our readers in Steiner Ranch, River Place, Volente, Grandview Hills, Westminster Glen and the Lake Travis area.
