The Pangborn Swim and Tennis Club is nearly hidden at the end of Millwood Court, part of a quiet, wooded neighborhood off Lawrenceville Highway. The club, which is private, sits about two blocks from Shamrock Middle School. The club has a junior Olympic-sized pool with five swimming lanes and a high-dive. The pool is surrounded by tall pine trees, providing shade in the late afternoon. It also features two tennis courts for year-round lessons. The pool also has competitive swim and tennis teams.

Dunwoody Country Club is an elegant club with a membership of 2,000. It offers golfing, tennis and swimming, and hosts pro and semi-pro events in tennis and golf. The club was established in 1969 and is a nonprofit facility owned and run by its members, including John Knobbe, the general manager. The club also features a wellness and health center, sports training, and banquet and dinner facilities.
Chateau Elan Golf Club is a country club. It offers a wide range of facilities, including two public golf courses, a par-three nine-hole course, private club as well as a practice facility. Some club features include hourly lessons, practice greens and bunkers, chipping stations, a public driving range as well as an equestrian center. The River Club of Martin's Landing is a 8.5-acre outdoor recreational area. There is a small clubhouse with a playground in a shaded area. There are nine tennis courts and an Olympic-sized pool, but the real attraction is the riverfront picnic area. The River Club area is gated, and secure, accessible by members only.
The Peachtree Club is a private "city club" with about 250 members. The club is located on the 28th floor of the 999 Peachtree building, located at the corner of Peachtree and 10th Street.
Since it was founded in 1989, the Peachtree Club has offered high-class meeting and eating space for Midtown professionals. Members enjoy breakfast and lunch, use of private meeting rooms and holiday events, as well as entry into the Atlanta Society.
The club has six dining areas and can accommodate up to 250 people. A skyline terrace was added to the Peachtree Club in March 2010. The 1,700-square-foot space offers impressive skyline views of Atlanta. The terrace, as well as all the rooms at the Peachtree Club, can be rented by nonmembers for private events.

Swinn, who has worked in hotel and restaurant management, came from England in 1989 to assist the club in opening. But he never returned home; Swinn bought the Peachtree Club in 2001.
Polo Golf and Country Club, represented by The Heritage Golf Group, is a private members-only country club. This club offers an 18-hole championship golf course, designed by Joe Lee.

Highland Athletic Club is an athletics facility located on the campus of the Atlanta Medical Center. The 30,000 square foot facility contains a full basketball court and two racquetball courts, an indoor track and a variety of services such as body composition testing, Quantum weight machines, a heated indoor pool, recumbent/upright exercise bikes and more. There are also a number of classes including aerobics classes, aquatic therapy classes, weight-loss classes and stress management/relaxation classes. Memberships are available in individual, couples and family variations and there is no initiation fee required for new members.
