Dr. Evans is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon and orthopaedic traumatologist. He received his undergraduate degree in biology from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio, and earned his medical degree from University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pennsylvania. Dr. Evans earned his fellowship certification in orthopaedic traumatology in the Orthopaedic Traumatology Advanced Clinical Experience program at Harborview Medical Center / University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. Prior to coming to the Hughston Clinic, Dr. Evans served as assistant professor and orthopaedic trauma fellowship director at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and most recently served as assistant professor and fellowship director of orthopaedic trauma at the Vanderbilt Orthopaedic Institute at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Evans is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Orthopedic Trauma Association, and other international and regional organizations. He serves as teaching faculty for AO North America, and he is an active member of the AAOS Committee on Trauma. Dr. Evans has published extensively-peer-reviewed articles in major orthopaedic journals, book chapters, and his research has been presented at national meetings. His clinical and research interests include pelvic and acetabular fractures and complex lower extremity injuries. He plans to continue his research interests through the Hughston Foundation, Inc.

Christopher M. Jones, MD Christopher M. Jones, MD is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in the care of athletes and disorders of the shoulder, knee, hip, and elbow. Dr. Jones joins Hughston Clinic Orthopedics after serving as Team Physician and Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL. Dr. Jones completed an orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at the esteemed American Sports Medicine Institute (ASMI) in Birmingham, AL, under the direction of Drs. James Andrews, Jeffrey Dugas, Lyle Cain, and Benton Emblom. At ASMI, he received the 2015-2016 award for excellence in clinical research for the American Sports Medicine Fellowship Society. In Birmingham, Dr. Jones assisted with the care of athletes from Troy University, the University of Alabama, Auburn University, World Wrestling Entertainment, and several professional teams from around the country. Dr. Jones received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the University of Maryland, where he graduated with honors and several research awards. He continued his education at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, where he graduated with honors and as a member of the distinguished Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He then went on to complete his orthopedic surgery residency at SUNY Stony Brook Medical Center in Stony Brook, NY, where he was chief administrative resident from 2014 to 2015 and received awards for research excellence as a resident. Dr. Jones specializes in the arthroscopic treatment of the knee, shoulder, hip, and elbow, as well as joint reconstruction of the knee and shoulder. He brings unique expertise to Hughston Clinic in the treatment of hip and groin disorders, sports hernia repair, and endoscopic-assisted hamstring repair. He has additional certification in cartilage restoration techniques, including autogenous chondrocyte implantation (ACI). Dr. Christopher P. Kauffman is Board Certified with the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is licensed to practice medicine in the states of Tennessee, Connecticut, and California. He maintains privileges at TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center and Premier Orthopaedics Surgery Center in Nashville, at TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center in Hermitage, TN, TriStar Summit Medical Center at TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center in Hendersonville, TN, and at Tennova Hospital in Lebanon, TN. BIOGRAPHY Jeffrey P. Lawrence is a board certified fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon, specializing in knee, shoulder and joint replacement. Dr. Lawrence is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and has a subspecialty certification in Sports Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine, American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America, International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedics Sports Medicine and several other professional associations. His areas of special interests are sports medicine, arthroscopy, knee and shoulder surgery and joint replacement. Dr. Lawrence has served on the Boards of The Arthritis Foundation, Youth Encouragement Services and Rise and Walk Ministry as well as the Tennessee Board of Health Care Licensing, Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners and the Tennessee Orthopaedic Society. He has been in private practice in Nashville since 1989. He has taken care of many high school, college and professional athletes as well as giving sports medicine care to several local and national sporting events. A native Tennessean, Dr. Lawrence was born in Nashville and grew up in Memphis. He attended Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas on a football scholarship. After graduating Summa cum Laude, he returned to his home state to attend the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. After receiving his medical degree, he completed a general surgery internship and a five-year orthopaedic surgery residency, including one year as Chief Orthopaedic Resident at the University of Tennessee. He was a member of the Tennessee Army National Guard from 1985 to 1995. He is on the medical staff of Centennial Medical Center, Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital and Williamson Medical Center. He is also affiliated with Centennial Surgery Center and Baptist Ambulatory Surgery Center. He is a volunteer physician with Siloam Family Health Center. Dr. Lawrence has been happily married for over thirty five years and has three grown children and four grandchildren, adding more yearly. He enjoys his family, running, skiing, reading and service on medical missions. He and his family worked in Dominican Republic to improve the health care available to children.
