Family-owned and operated, Mi Tierra Restaurant serves Guatemalan and Salvadoran food. The atmosphere is bright, vibrant and casual. Inside are two rooms: one large with many tables and a jukebox, the second with a bar and TV. Owners Clara and Nelson have been in business here for more than 10 years. According to owner Joe, this greasy spoon is "like a neighborhood bar, but we serve breakfast". In business since 1932, the restaurant's bar stools and checkered tile floor are original, while the country twang on the radio seems just as ancient. Interestingly, this diner was built by the Worcester Lunchcar Company in 1942 and originally located in Orange, MA (where it was called Whit's Diner) before being brought to its present location. Lloyd's Diner has been in this location for many years. It was taken over by a local Brazilian couple in 2010. It is now also known as the Tropical Cafe.
