The Marshy Point Nature Center is located on part of the 500 acres of Marshy Point Park. The center offers exhibits, classrooms, an auditorium, a canoe dock and an outdoor picnic area for those visiting. In addition, the center hosts programs, special events, activities, educational courses and camps throughout the year. The Marshy Point Park is open to the public for hiking, bird watching and just enjoying nature.
The Carroll County Government Offices, Bureau of Utilities operates and maintains the Hampstead and the Freedom District Water Treatment Plants, water storage tanks, booster stations and 120 miles of mains in the Freedom area.
The Freedom District includes a collection system of 98 miles and ten major sewer pumping stations for the Maryland Environmental Services Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The Office of Recycling is a part of the Harford County Government's Department of Public Works, Division of Environmental Affairs. The office promotes waste reduction and recycling awareness to residents and businesses throughout Harford County.
The Arundel Olympic Swim Center offers swimming lessons and activities to the Annapolis community. Open seven days a week, the Swim Center features a 50-meter by 25-yard pool with adjacent wading pool, as well as a spa. Coin-operated lockers are available in the locker rooms, and a family locker room is available as well. Please note that children under twelve must be accompanied by an adult at all times, and children under two are not permitted in the pool.
