Patty Baker is Cherokee County's Clerk of Superior, State, Juvenile and Magistrate Courts. Her office maintains all recorded documents, including deeds and passports.
The Washington County Government Center is the hub of county government. It houses the Washington County District Court and court administration. It is also the county's main service center, where guests can find property records and taxpayer services, community services, public health and environment services, a WIC Clinic, and surveying and land management offices. The Government Center is also home to the County Board Room, where the county commissioners meet to set policy and meet with residents, as well as offices for the county commissioners, administration officials and human resources.
The Kendall County Clerk and Recorder's offices have a variety of duties, from filing marriage licenses and birth and death certificates to keeping County Board meeting minutes. These offices, which are headed by Debbie Gillette, also are responsible for staffing and providing equipment for elections, as well as maintaining documents surrounding land transactions.
The Recorder's Office is located on the first floor of the Kendall County Office Building. The County Clerk's Office is located on the second floor.
Arlington County Government Environmental Services (DES) is located on Clarendon Boulevard, just blocks from the Court House metro station. DES focuses on areas related to the environmental impact of growth, transportation, waste management and community planning. Everything from where roads are build to the maintenance of the Chesapeake Bay all have an impact on our environment. Through planning, collaboration and program management DES strives to make that impact a positive one.
