Woodside Library is a branch of San Mateo County Library, and part of the Peninsula Library System. The library's barn-like architecture evokes the surrounding close community, much like the tranquil California native plants garden tucked away in back. Inside you'll find a cozy community space offering an array of library services.
The county Health and Human Services Agency helps area residents gain access to public assistance programs like Medi-Cal and food stamps, and it provides social services to protect and aid children and families. Residents can make an appointment or walk in for their first visit. A staff member will advise them. The lobby has a lot of brochures with information about services available to San Mateo County residents. Career counseling is also provided through the agency.
The San Mateo County Assessor and Clerk's office assesses the value of taxable properties within the county. The office can assist the public with a host of matters, such as providing information on change in ownership, exemptions and leased equipment, to name a few.
