Aveson is a new charter school that was founded two years ago and aims to reach students with personalized lesson plans that integrate real-life skills like nutrition and social responsibility.
The school offers multi-age classrooms that allow students to interact with other students of different ages.
The school's emphasis on nutrition means a policy that no student will come to school with, or consume, soda, chips, cookies, candy or french fries as part of their snacks or lunches on campus. The school provides suggested recipes for children to encourage healthy eating.
Aveson also has a Pasadena campus where grade 6 - 12 are taught.
Located in the same location since 1965, the Creative Play Center offers day care for children pre-K to first-grade age. The Creative Play Center is a supportive environment where children can learn to be themselves in a structured environment with playtime and snacks. Morning and afternoon schedules are available. The location is easy to access from Pleasant Hill Road near Grayson Road.
