J. O. Spices has been operating out of the Baltimore area for over 50 years selling premium spice blends and seasonings inspired by the Chesapeake Bay. J.O. has grown considerably since being found in 1945 and now delivers wholesale spice blends to restaurants, crab houses and distributors in addition to their retail location for local buyers.
The sweet smell of spices and the warm aroma of coffee beans welcomes customers into the Dearborn Roastery. This business has been serving the community for more than 20 years and is proud to offer fresh products, many of which the staff at the Roastery package themselves to ensure high quality.
The coffee and nut roasting is all done locally, and the staff is very knowledgeable about everything carried in the store. If you have a favorite spice mix, bring it here and the staff may be able to duplicate it or create a similar blend. The store also carries shelves upon shelves of everything from organic wheat germ to gluten-free pancake mix.
Asian Spice Cafe is a Chinese restaurant and sushi bar in the heart of Brambleton Town Center. The Chinese menu features such classics as General Tso's Chicken, Orange Peel Beef and fried rice.The Japanese side has an assortment of sashimi and sushi. Delivery and take-out are available.
With its enticing aromas of curries and exotic spices and the hum of foreign chatter, Cherians is a bedazzling display of culture. This Indo-Pak grocery store is somewhat hidden away from view of Dekalb Industrial Way. To get here, turn in at the entrance for Malani's Jewelry and head straight past it. Cherians is atop the small hill. There is also rear access from Jordan Lane.
There are two small eateries inside, both sharing a dining area hidden away from sight. You may have to look for it.
The Olde Town Spice Shoppe is located next to J Noto on historic Main Street in a building that was built around 1820 and first lived in by St. Charles' first-ever postmaster. It sells every spice and seasoning you can think of, as well as many other items you'd find at your local grocery store. Don't have time to go to the store?
