Founded in 1937, Middlesex Middle School serves public school students grades 6-8 in Darien. Each year, students are organized into groups called teams, consisting of approximately 80-90 students. Students only take classes with their peers who are on the same team as them, and within each team there are different teachers for each core subject. In addition to core classes, students take music, art, physical education, computer, technology education and family studies throughout their middle school education. Dr. Debi Boccanfuso is the principal.
The office is the home to the superintendent and district central office staff. The board of education holds its meetings in Room N-4 in East Windsor High School, 76 South Main Street. The office is just north of East Windsor High School.
Acting Superintendent of Schools: Carol A. Fox
