Joe and Flossie Jernigan founded Jernigan Funeral Home in Dunn, North Carolina, in 1930. Two years later they moved their business to the 500 Block of Hay Street in Fayetteville, and then to 206 Gillespie Street, where the business remained until 1958, when the present Funeral Home was built at its location on Ramsey Street. This building was renovated in the early 1970s, creating larger visitation rooms and additional offices. In 1946, Charles Warren, Joe and Flossie Jernigans nephew, purchased a one-third interest in the business, and upon Joe Jernigans retirement in 1952, Charles Warren and Flossie Jernigan became co-owners. Mrs. Jernigan passed away in 1989, and Charles Warren became sole owner. Harold Warren, Charles younger brother, came to work in the family business in 1989, after retiring from the Cumberland County School System. And in 2009, Charles "Ben" Chambers, Charles and Lucille Warrens grandson, began working full time in the Funeral Home, continuing the family tradition. Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home was invited to join National Selected Morticians (now Selected Independent Funeral Homes) in 1963. Members of this association operate under strict standards and strive to utilize the best practices in serving families and individuals during their time of need. The Selected members, guided by the Code of Good Practice and the benefit of shared knowledge, are recognized as professionals of a high order. Charles Warren passed away on December 9, 2010, at the age of 93. His wife, Lucille Warren, is the current owner. She operates the business with a dedicated staff of funeral professionals who have over 165 years of accumulated experience. Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home prides itself on serving each family with care and compassion, and is dedicated to continuing to serve their great community as the business has done for more than 80 years.

Todd Funeral Home, Inc had its beginning in 1932 when Lawrence D. Sheets started a funeral home on Bridge Street in Bridgewater. My father, James R. JR Todd, started working with Mr. Sheets in the mid 1930s. JR bought half of the business from Mr. Sheets, then later in the 1940s purchased the second half, becoming the J.R. Todd Funeral Home. In 1954 the funeral relocated from Bridgewater to its present location at the corner of Third Street and Iroquois Avenue in Beaver, the former home of Robert and Vera Taylor Gailey. I joined my father full time in 1972, and when health problems forced him to retire, took over the business at that time, becoming the Todd Funeral Home, Inc Ive tried to follow his example of care and compassion with the families I am privileged to serve. A death is one of the most difficult situations a person can face. No one can take the pain away; however, gentle guidance and assistance through the necessary steps of a funeral can help to lift the weight of uncertainty and provide some comfort.

The James H. Hunt Funeral Home, located on 126 Ridge Ave in Asbury Park, NJ, was founded in 1959 by James Henry Hunt, Sr. We are a family owned business with a legacy of providing fairly priced funeral and memorial services with compassion, dignity, and professionalism. James H. Hunt, Sr. always had a dream of owning his own business. Born in 1923 in Chester, PA to a family including three funeral directors, he became inspired to follow the same career path. He upgraded and expanded the establishment several times over the years. Caring, intelligent, and extremely hard working; Jim Hunt successfully increased his mortuary business through the consistent delivery of funeral services with kindness, exceptional quality and attention to detail. When Jim passed away in July 1999 the ownership of the funeral home was transferred to his wife, Mildred Hunt. Daily management of the business was entrusted to long time funeral director and employee, Hubie Pierce. After Hubie Pierce passed away in July 2008 Mildred Hunt employed Nathaniel Small, Sr. as Funeral Director and Manager, and her daughter, Xenia Ware, as the Business Manager to run the day to day operations. Sadly, Nathaniel Small, Sr. passed away in October 2014. His son, Kevin L. Small, former Assistant Manager of the funeral home, assumed the position of manager. The new management has continued to employ the same business traditions utilized by James Hunt, Sr., while strategically integrating new ideas and technology to improve overall services.
