Founded in 1925, Whittier Elementary School offers education to students in kindergarten through grade five. Its academic curricula include art, music, math, science, social studies and language arts. The school also conducts physical and special education classes. Whittier Elementary School supplies crayons, folders, pencils, erasers, scissors, spiral notebooks and glue sticks. In addition, it offers gifted and talented education and speech therapy programs. The school operates a parent-teacher association that conducts monthly meetings. It is a part of Community Unit School District 200, which serves more than 13,000 students in kindergarten through grade 12. Whittier Elementary School is located in Wheaton, Ill.
