Home to the city's award-winning youth dance and gymnastics teams and the city's athletics office, the Wayne C. Papy Seminole Heights Athletic Center has served Tampa families for more than two decades. The center was expanded in 2004 to include a 7,800-square-foot gymnastics pit, a tumbling strip and equipment for all four Olympic events (vault, bar, balance beam and floor). Children's dance and gymnastics classes are available for ages 1-17. Parents can register a child through the Parks and Recreation Department's Web page or in person at the center.
