The Steele County Administration Center maintains a human services department that offers services for the protection of adults and children and assistance for custodial and non-custodial parents. The center provides medical and financial assistance. The Steele County Administration Center s environmental services division provides information related to health issues and concerns, waste reduction, resource conservation and pollution prevention, as well as coordinates a well water testing program. Its environmental service division conducts the Green Source 2020 community project. The center s planning, zoning and building inspection department administers land use and zoning ordinances and uniform building codes.
