Founded in 1959, Sacred Heart School provides educational opportunities for students in pre-kindergarten through grade eight. The school s curriculum includes science, social studies, math, computer technology, music, language arts and physical education. In addition, it serves lunch and offers nursing services. Sacred Heart School operates a student council and drama, yearbook, scrabble, soccer and Spanish clubs. The school has a parents association that provides volunteer opportunities and organizes a range of fundraising events. It also administers an after-school program. Sacred Heart School maintains a library and hosts book and science fairs. The school is a part of the Diocese of Rockville Centre.
