Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States is an organization dedicated to providing a voice for veterans with the goal of improving their lives and the lives of their families. As a National organization, VFW organizes several community services projects, fundraises and participates in projects benefiting veterans and active-duty military personnel. This is a long-standing post of the VFW. A few events are open to the public, such as the parking lot sale. It advocates on a variety of veterans' issues and acts as a social club for combat veterans.
Veterans organization, "home away from home." Should you not be eligible for the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Post is also home to the American Legion Post 552.
Post 2070 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the largest organization of combat veterans in the U.S., is located on South Magnolia Avenue. The facility features a bar and pool tables, and is available to rent for special occasions.
