Har Shalom first began in 1964, when a few dozen families used a portable ark and a borrowed Torah and practiced the faith in members' homes and school auditoriums. Kabbalat Shabbat services are offered Friday evenings at 7 p.m. Morning services are held at 9am. There are volunteer opportunities available for those interested in getting involved with community service. Educational programs are offered for children in kindergarten through grade seven.
