Ohio Auditor of State s Office is one of the largest accounting offices in the United States. It is responsible for auditing public offices in Ohio, including cities, villages, schools, universities, counties and townships. The office also audits state agencies, boards and commissions. It works to ensure that public funds are spent appropriately, lawfully and in accordance with state and local law. Ohio Auditor of State s Office maintains audit, legal and administration divisions that oversee issues related to human resources, information technology and legal advocacy. The office works with a team of more than 900 staff members. It publishes various journals and reports, as well as conducts conferences, training sessions and seminars.
