Frank's Driving School, located at 53 New Britain Ave., has been in business since 1968. Integrity, ethics, reliability and pride are the mottos of the business. Thirty hours of instruction including eight hours of driving comprise teenager and adult programs. Spanish and Italian instructors are on staff. DMV testing is offered on site. Tucked far from the hustle and bustle of Wallingford's main roads is the Blue Trail Rifle Range and Gun Store.
The facility includes a 25-yard pistol range, 50- and 100-yard rifle ranges, a public shotgun field and a 200-yard range for air guns and BB guns.

Tennis Central of Woodbridge has five cushioned hard courts housed under an enormous bubble for local tennis enthusiasts to enjoy year round. In addition to court rentals, they offer a full schedule of classes for adults and juniors. Tennis Central of Woodbridge also hosts private events including children's birthday parties.
Erin's Gym is an athletic facility. The 14,000 square foot building features an indoor Astro Turf field, which can be divided into two fields. The facility also offers a 55- and a 75-foot batting cage, a variety of baseball and softball related activities and is available for rent by sports leagues, for birthday parties and other events. Use of the space is provided free of charge to certain leagues and organizations, including the Sterling House Community Center. The facility was created in honor of Erin Babineau, the late 10-year-old daughter of the gym's creators, Jeff and Donna Babineau.
Wilton Sport & Fitness is a 17,000 square foot gym and community center that offers programs for kids and adults. The fitness club features Cybex cardio equipment and also offers personal training. Programs offered include baseball, field hockey, soccer, gymnastics, spinning, yoga, Pilates, and Zumba. The facility also features a multi-purpose room, which can be used for birthday parties and other special events.
This popular fitness center offers great ways to stay in shape and keep your tennis skills sharp year-round. It has six indoor hard courts and three outdoor courts for warmer months. The facility also has strength-training equipment, personal trainers and an outdoor pool.

Two perfectly groomed and maintained ice rinks are the crowning glory of this facility, but its programming shines as well. Public skating, shinny hockey, figure skating lessons, youth and adult hockey leagues and special events are among the choices for those who are looking for fun on the ice. Skate rentals are available and private parties can be arranged for those celebrating a special occasion. An arcade offers entertainment off the ice, with plenty of games to satisfy gamers of all ages. Stamford Twin Rinks also houses the Springdale Ballet and Dance Academy, offering ballet, hip-hop and jazz dance classes. For fun after the game or for a cozy spot to watch as a spectator, head to the Ice View Sports Bar and Grill - a relaxing place to have a burger without missing out on the action. During skating hours, the Legends Cafe on the first level is open, serving snacks and refreshments. A new addition to the Stamford Twin Rinks is a 2.5 million dollar, 305.76-kilowatt solar electric system, installed in partnership with the CT Clean Energy Fund. This has sparked the interest of the environmentally conscious resulting in facility tours being offered upon appointment.
A recent survey by the Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association (SGMA) observes that the popularity of billiards, as a sport, has been steady since 2000. Yale Billiards has been around longer to grow its fan-base. It's been at its Yale Plaza, Yale Avenue location, for over 15 years.
Part of the fun are the leagues. There's the Monday 8-Ball League, and Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday night APA leagues. Many players are drawn to the Thursday and Saturday night discounts and specials. Corporate outings and birthday parties are also hosted here.

Trumbull Racquet Club is an indoor tennis club that provides members with a fun and relaxed environment in which to play, participate in tournaments and receive instruction. Programs are available for players of all skill levels and ages.
Personal Training Professionals (PTP) is a personal training facility that specializes exclusively in one-on-one personal fitness. The training center is fully equipped with extensive modern, up-to-date exercise tools and equipment. Since PTP is not open to public, the environment is extremely individualized and geared towards customers and their needs.
Stone Age Rock Gym is located on Adams Street in Manchester, down the street from the Buckland Hills Mall.
KevinWatts, owner of Stone Age Rock Gym since 1997, is a professional rock climbing instructor. He runs the facility on 100 percent clean energy and also hosts clean-ups at different rock climbing sites across Connecticut. The Stone Age Rock Gym instructors take groups to New Hampshire and Maine as well and offer instruction in all aspects of rock climbing.
