The Parkwood Pool Complex is part of the excellent Great Neck Park District system. It is a modern and recently upgraded complex which features a large main pool, an intermediate pool, a wading pool, a water playground a water slide and more.
This year, 2010, was the first year of the "lazy river" at Parkwood. Water jets slowly push tubes and even tandem tubes around a winding water path.
Parkwood Pool Complex also features a snack bar, first aid, bathhouses, lounges, numerous lifeguards and plenty of seating, in the sun or in the shade, is readily available.
Tiger Schulmann's Mixed Martial Arts is located in the Gardens at Great Neck shopping center, and offers mixed martial arts programs for children, teens and adults. Tiger Schulmann's Mixed Martial Arts helps students learn numerous self-defense techniques. The techniques also aid students to get in shape, helping with muscular development, cardiovascular conditioning and flexibility. Great Neck P A L is short for the Great Neck Police Athletic League, an organization which offers athletic programs boys and girls, from kindergarten to eighth grade. The athletic programs take place at numerous parks or schools in Great Neck. Some activities offered include soccer, basketball, softball, Aikido, Judo, dance, flag football, track and field and more. Some financial assistance is available.

Besides the huge variety of fitness equipment, aerobic and general body-shaping classes and workouts are available throughout each day. Jam Dance & Fitness Center, located on Great Neck Road, provides professional instruction and numerous programs in dance and fitness. The Saddle Rock Village Office is the governmental center of the Village. It is a tony community on the Long Island Sound that is governed by four trustees and a mayor, who meet the first Wednesday of every month at 8:30p.m. It is surrounded by the Village Pool and tennis courts which are open to Saddle Rock residents and guests.
