The Bible says, "He that hath EAR, let him HEAR." Tim Bratton, H.I.S. has been helping people fulfill this for more than twenty years. He attended Liberty University in the late 70s and when the opportunity presented itself to return to Lynchburg to serve the community by helping people hear and understand their loved ones, he jumped on the chance. Tim is delighted to be back; and this time to serve the great people of the region. Meet Tims mother and sister, both ladies have a profound hearing loss. This is one of the reasons Tim decided to pursue a career in hearing all those years ago. He saw first hand the impact of hearing loss on the family. His mother would either smile and nod as she pretended to hear her family or get angry and blame them for mumbling. Tim also now wears hearing aids himself and can identify with the patient. Tim and Veronica believe EVERYONE should be treated with the same love and care we want our own family to be treated. Our patients are family at Soundz. Tim and Veronica are committed to restoring communication in marriages and families by providing the Best Technology to help people hear and understand their loved ones. Tim and Veronica Bratton are the owners of Soundz Lynchburg, making it a local family owned small business. They are able to keep the technology affordable to every budget because they have no corporate overhead. At Soundz Lynchburg we believe price should not prohibit people from hearing and understanding the world around them. We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours or contact us at (434) 239-4327!

The Eastern Virginia Medical School Fluency Program treats stuttering as a behavioral problem. We do not perceive stuttering as the consequence of a complex emotional disorder. We can confidently say that after decades of helping stutterers, the proper approach to treating this perplexing, long-standing affliction is to accurately redevelop the physical properties of speech. The EVMS Fluency Program employs laboratory derived principles of learning in the development of new speech skills. During the therapy program, physical mechanisms used in the production of speech are precisely and systematically retrained. Participants in the EVMS Fluency Program relearn the proper means of producing the elementary sounds of speech. The stutterers then rebuild their ability to correctly produce syllables, words and, ultimately, complete sentences.
