The Brooklyn High School of the Arts in Boerum Hill was founded in 2000. The large school building reverberates with the sounds of instruments and singing, just walk by one afternoon and you'll see. Approximately 700 students attend the school, and auditions are required before enrolling in a preferred artistic medium.
Richmond Community Services supports children and adults with developmental disabilities as well as their families and offers individualized services, life enhancing strategies, education, and advocacy. This organization has particular expertise in meeting the needs of those with complex health issues. Richmond Community Services provides respite services, intensive medical care, residences, day rehabilitative programs, nursing and therapeutic supports and bi-lingual Medicaid service coordination in communities throughout Westchester County.
FasTracKids is an early education facility which caters to children ages three to eight. Focusing on creativity, critical thinking, communication and collaborative skills, FasTracKids offers a 96-week program that features traditional academic instruction in subject areas such as biology, art, physical education, technology, science, literature, speech and astronomy. This is one of more than 200 FasTracKids franchises located in 50 countries.
FasTracKids also utilizes JEI's self-learning system founded in 1977 in South Korea. JEI's system provides a diagnostic test for students in grades Pre-K through 9th grade that identifies each student's strengths and weaknesses in Math and English.
