Bridge Back to Life Center, founded in 1988, offers outpatient addiction and counseling service. Services offered by the center include detoxification, psychiatric evaluation and medication management, adolescent program, individual and group psychotherapy, family and marital counseling, and psychoeducational groups. Its patients receive a comprehensive evaluation prior to beginning treatment, and offers an individualized treatment plan for each person, including crisis intervention services, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, intensive outpatient programs, and a variety of other collateral services. Bridge Back to Life Center offers treatment services in several languages, including Spanish, Russian, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Polish. It has locations in the Greater New York City metro area, including Manhattan, Coney Island, Bay Ridge, Long Island, downtown Brooklyn and Staten Island.

The Maimonides Medical Center is one of the leading providers of graduate medical education (GME) in the New York City region. With more than 20 fully accredited residency and fellowship programs, over 400 residents, nearly 4,500 employees and approximately 700 inpatient beds, it is one of the largest, independent academic medical centers in the United States. The center provides courses in the areas of anesthesiology, cardiology, dentistry, emergency medicine, pediatrics, psychiatry and interventional cardiology. The Maimonides Medical Center operates Dr. George A. Degenshein Memorial Library, which has a collection of multimedia software, books and periodicals. Its library additionally provides services, including computerized bibliographic retrieval, Internet access, slide production, photocopying, free delivery and interlibrary loans. The center s other educational facilities include conference rooms and auditoriums where faculty members gather with residents for regular educational programs. The Maimonides Medical Center is a teaching affiliate of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, and St. George s University.
New Directions Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Treatment Program is a nonprofit outpatient facility located in Brooklyn, N.Y. New Directions is a division of the Brooklyn Center for Psychotherapy, and is licensed by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services for chemical dependence outpatient service. It runs programs from six months up to two years that comprise individual, group and family treatments, based on individual needs. The center offers various treatment services that include multifamily group counseling, family consultation service, family member education, nutrition and recovery, individual, group and family counseling, nutritional intervention, auricular acupuncture and recovery, pharmacotherapy, and art and creative therapy.
