CAPE, the Community Association for Preschool Education, has been providing free Head Start preschool for Tri-Valley kids from low-income families since the federal program began in 1965. CAPE now serves more than 200 children at eight campuses with school-readiness programs, nutrition help and medical and dental screenings. The Independence Drive location is the program headquarters and enrollment office.
