The Department of Psychiatry, at the Yale University School of Medicine, offers clinical and substance abuse treatment services for individual suffering from different mental illnesses. The department provides inpatient, ambulatory and emergency psychiatric services through various facilities, such as the Connecticut Mental Health Center and Yale-New Haven Hospital. In addition, it offers specialized consultation solutions in the areas of forensic psychiatry, neuropsychological testing, psychopharmacological treatment and womens health. The Department of Psychiatry operates several clinics for the assessment and management of patients with depression, anxiety and schizophrenia. In addition, the department provides the Integrated Adult and Child Residency Program. It also offers neuroscience and psychology training services.
