North Potomac School of Music offers instruction in violin, viola, cello and piano. Each course is designed to meet both the needs of students and curriculum standards.
Private lessons consist of technical work, repertoire and weekly theory assignments. Pianists are required to study the practical keyboard skills of harmonization and transposition.
Students advance from the fundamental levels through AP levels. Students completeing the 12 levels are able to test out of college freshman and sophomore theory. The performance classes are designed to give young performers experience in performing and audience etiquette. It also teaches students how to listen to and evaluate music.

Kids First Swim School is the nation's largest instructional swimming franchise and offers training services for kids as young as 24 months. For the safety of students, Kids First has pools that are between two and five feet deep, and maintains a water temperature of 90 degrees. In addition to swimming instruction, Kids First Swim School offers exercise programs for adults in need of low impact programs and services for parents or institutions interested in organizing pool parties in a safe, well-maintained environment.
New Day Preschool, of the United Methodist Church, is a Christian-oriented preschool. The program fosters a flexible yet disciplined environment. This educational program is developmental, promoting growth in all aspects, especially discovering their worth as a child of God.
VisArts is located in the new Rockville Town Center. It offers a wide variety of art classes, summer camps and school break workshops for children. It also has classes for adults. There's a gallery with exhibits on display, as well as artist's studios and a gift shop. VisArts also has a photo lab and darkroom. The party room is available for private events.
Twinbrook Christian DayCare is a non-profit ministry of Twinbrook Community Church, with year-round programs for infants, preschool, and school-aged children. Staff assist parents and families with the developmental and educational growth of their children in a safe, secure, and loving environment.
Twinbrook Christian DayCare is a God-centered program, but is open to children of all religions; they simply strive to provide a loving and safe place for children to grow. Atlantic Seaboard Dyslexia Education Center instructs children and adults with a structured multi-sensory curriculum. The research-based curriculum uses multi-sensory techniques in language skills such as decoding, fluency, spelling, writing, vocabulary and comprehension as educational tools. This includes mathematics and study skills as part of a certificate program.
This approach is accredited by the International Multi-sensory Structured Languages education Council.
Also, the center trains teachers and academic therapists in research-based, multi-sensory techniques to improve reading, study skills, and mathematics performance. Other services include helping parents with referrals, conducting phone consultations and workshops.
The center was founded by Claire Nissenbaum, M.A., C.A.T, after 35 years of working in the language-based learning field. During this time, she taught classes and teachers alike. She is an International Multi-sensory Structured Language Association board member. She is also a member of the Professional Advisory Committee of the 32° and an Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators fellow.

The Foundation Schools was established in 1975 and is an independent and non-profit day school for special education. The school offers education and social and psychological services to young people with emotional disturbances. The Foundation Schools started as a hospital-based educational program, but ended its hospital affiliations 17 years ago. The School implements its Mastery Learning Philosophy and also creates programs for home instruction. St. Patrick's Catholic School is a small and nurturing elementary school with grades up to eighth grade. Typical class size is 24 students per class.The curriculum is prescribed by the Archdiocese of Washington and the Maryland Department of Education requirements.

Cabin John Middle School is currently located in Rockville at the Tilden Holding Center; however, construction is currently underway on its Potomac location at 10701 Gainsborough Rd. The modernized building is scheduled to open in August 2011. The school educates students from 6th through 8th grades and is directed by principal Dr. Paulette L. Smith.
