Set up in a large office building off Pearl, Impact offers a very unique set of classes. Its extremely realistic self-defense courses simulate the threats, intimidation and violence encountered during an assault. Classes are taught by a two-man team, one taking the role of instructor, the other donning a full-body suit of armor and taking the role of perpetrator. Students defend themselves with full contact. Classes are offered for men and women and a special course is offered for assault survivors. Impact also provides community courses and workplace classes, and works with local homeless shelters. Emile Driving School is set up on the second floor of the large 6 Pleasant Street business tower. Parking can be difficult during the day here, so guests are advised to use the metered bank lot across the center. Working with students ages 16 years and older, instructor and owner Joseph Emile Marsan speaks English, French and Creole and offers classroom and in-car training. The school provides home pick-up and drop-off as well as training in automatic and standard vehicles. Call to set up a series of classes.

Boston Career Institute is a career placement service with offices in Malden and Brookline. The programs are meant to be fast-paced in order for participating individuals to be places in their respective fields as soon as possible. The institute offers training in medical billing, clinical assistant, dental assistant and medical center technician.
The Linden School has classes for years kindergarten through eighth grade. The curriculum focuses on humanities and communication arts as the basis of all studies, including math and sciences. The school offers several special programs for its students including one that is geared towards gifted students. The Linden School also focuses on how each individual child learns and uses their strengths to improve their education.
