At Destiny Christian Academy, students learn from the A Beka Christian curriculum and talk with each other and their teachers during the family-style meals from the school's in-house chef.

Every morning, the students at DCA recite the Pledge of Allegiance and give their daily confessions.

At the chapel meeting, held weekly on Wednesday mornings, every class recites its memory verse from the Bible  and a featured class teaches the other students a Biblical lesson.

The offering collected at the chapel meetings is saved and used for the Field Day Fun Day at the end of each school year.

Hosey knows he needs to connect to the students, and he does so in many ways, including regularly blogging and tweeting on Twitter. Hosey also declared Wednesdays "Dress for Success Day" to encourage students to dress in a mature and professional manner.

Cumberland Christian Academy consists of preschool through high school and has three locations. The Clay Road location houses the preschool and elementary classes.

The school, which has been in operation for more than 20 years, began as just a group of Smyrna parents who prayed and were led to begin their own independent school. Their goal is to educate students both academically and spiritually.

Afterschool care is also provided for kindergarten through fifth grade students. Besides educating within the classroom, CCA elementary students also travel on field trips to places such as Sun Valley Beach, Tellus Science Museum and the Atlanta Zoo. Students in fourth and fifth grades participate in overnight field trips to places such as Okefenokee Swamp and Space Camp.

Austell Primary is a small, but mighty school with a great deal of community support. For events like the school's annual Fall Festival, PTA members, teachers and staff turned out to help and show their support, along with the school's partner in education, Austell First United Methodist Church and students from South Cobb and Pebblebrook high schools.

Because of the school's community involvement, students with perfect attendance records are rewarded with new bicycles, which are provided by community sponsors. The deserving students also celebrate with ice cream dance parties.
