St. Paul's Episcopal Church was founded in 1927 to give people an alternate site of worship to the overcrowded mission of St. Matthew's Church. The mission became popular among San Francisco residents moving south after the 1906 earthquake, and St. Paul's was erected to accommodate the growing number of worshipers. Congregation Beth Am Reform in Los Altos Hills, Calif., is a reformed Jewish congregation. It practices a lifelong study of Jewish texts, traditions and values that includes the philosophy and practice of Reform Judaism. Located on Burbank Blvd, The Adat Ari El Synagogue has been serving the needs of North Hollywood's Conservative Jewish population for well over 70 years. Notable members of this well-established institution include known community and local leaders. Since 1941, the synagogue has provided traditional Shabbat evening and morning services as well as Minyan and religious school seminars.

Women of the congregation are encouraged to become members of the synagogue's Sisterhood which is affiliated with The National Women's League for Conservative Judaism. Under its umbrella organization, the sisters of the synagogue offer various programs and seminars to strengthen relationships between congregation members as well as engage in community service.

Adat Ari is also a place for traditional Bar Mitzvahs. An Early Childhood Center and a Day School also comprise the establishment's vast grounds.

This congregation has for many years been heavily involved in social activism in the Davis community. Members were involved in the founding of local charities such as, STEAC (Short Term Emergency Aid Committee), Community Meals, the Cold Weather Shelter, Yolo Hospice, Citizens Who Care, Suicide Prevention, and Habitat for Humanity in Yolo County. Quite a few members have also served on the Davis School Board and City Council.

This church is relatively young compared to many Methodist churches in the area. However, from the beginning, following its split from the Presbyterian Davis Community Church in 1961, it has maintained and celebrated the Methodist traditions of inspirational music, and  fostering small informal groups focused on spiritual and community growth and potlucks.
