The Westfield Community Center Association is a multi-service center that provides recreational and educational programs for all ages. It is a part of the United Way and the Westfield United Fund Agency. The association offers social, recreational, education and exercise programs for adults; daycare; and vocational and career counseling for teens and adults.
Day Camp Sunshine is a recreational summer day camp that offers programs for kids from preschool age through 15 years. The camp offers nine weeks of camps, weekly field trips as well as a variety of programs and electives designed to foster physical, spiritual and social development. Rates are all-inclusive for full-day hours and a minimum number of weeks is not necessary to register.
Kidville Summit offers party services for chindren from infants up to age six. Kidville hosts birthday parties and offers classes in art, gym, music and dance.
At Hoop Dreamz, kids receive personalized basketball training from former professional player Billy Armstrong. Students have access to training sessions, basketball camp, and educational clinics.
The GCLEA, an acronym for Gracious Center of Learning and Enrichment Activities, is a Muslim community center. It provides a wide variety of educational, spiritual and social programs and activities for all ages. The facility features a men's hall, women's hall, children's room, library, full kitchen and wudu stations, as well as outdoor basketball and tennis courts and a multi-purpose field. What activities are there to do at the RiverWinds Community Center? The question you should be asking is what isn't there to do? The community center has many facilities including two pools (one with a water slide), two gymnasiums with a variety of fitness classes, a rock climbing wall, basketball and volleyball courts, among others. An outdoor amphitheater, arts and crafts programs, babysitting services, and meeting rooms are also available.
The Pascack Valley Swim Club, formerly known as the Westwood Swim Club, is located off Old Hook Road in Westwood. It offers a number of membership options to suit different needs. The facility has an Olympic-sized swimming pool and a kiddie pool for younger patrons. The large pool goes from three to 11 feet deep, with two diving boards and a dedicated lap lane; the kiddie pool is one to two feet deep. There is a concession stand on site for snacks, and for an additional fee you can host a private party at the club. Swimming lessons are also available.
