Point Pleasant Recreation Center is located on the corner of Maple Street and River Avenue in Point Pleasant Borough. The Recreation Center oversees a wide variety of recreational, sports, seasonal and entertainment activities and special events for all ages. Some of the activities, such as pre-school, babysitting, painting, crafts and other classes are held in the center's building on River Avenue. Other activities and special events are held at Community Park on Bridge Avenue or other locations in Point Pleasant Borough. Summer camps are held at the center and at Nellie Bennett Elementary School on Riviera Parkway. The public can use the playground, next to the center, and can ask about availability of the tennis courts and basketball courts, located just outside the recreation building.
The South Brunswick Community Center features a gym as well as other meeting rooms that are available for rent. The gym hosts an after-school open-gym time that is open to all South Brunswick residents with ID. It also hosts practices and games for youth basketball and volleyball as well.
Open for play every day, Jerzjump is a party facility that offers a fun time for the entire family. Customers can book birthday parties or private celebrations as well as school and charity events. There is one price to pay for arcade access, the inflatable "Dodge City," and the "Toddler Room" for keeping the little ones safe. A lounge and snack bar are also available. Every Friday night is Tween Night, and special events take place regularly.
Spring Brook Country Club, established in 1921, is a private club located in Morris Township. It features an 18 hole golf course, a driving range, putting green, tennis and paddle courts, a competition-size swimming pool and a snack bar. Tennis and golf shops are an added attraction.
Spring Brook's golf course was designed by Walter J. Travis, an inductee in the World Golf Hall of Fame who designed and remodeled more than 50 courses.
Spring Brook Country Club is also a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, meaning that it has met certain standards in areas such as water conservation and preservation of animal habitats.
