The Oglethorpe University Museum of Art features art pieces, both historical and modern, from around the world and strives to educate and inspire visitors with its diverse collection. In addition, it also serves as a valuable resource for Oglethorpe University students, giving them the opportunity to experience arts and culture from throughout the world. The 7,000-square-foot museum features regularly rotating exhibitions, featuring everything from spiritual art to landscape and portrait painting. In addition, the museum hosts various lecture and concert series. Special events and discounts are available to museum members.
Atlanta Country Day School is a fully accredited private school for students grades 7-12. Students receive group or individual class instruction. At most the student to teacher ratio is 6 to 1. The school started as a tutorial program in 1977 and became a high school in 1982. Classes are two hours long and held Mondays-Thursdays. The school also offers credits for home schooled children.
Mercer University operates its Cecil B. Day Graduate and Professional Campus on 300 acres in northern DeKalb County. The main campus is in Macon. This quiet, wooded campus has acres of open space, including athletic fields and tennis courts, and a number of apartment complexes and government buildings are within walking distance. The university offers undergraduate programs ranging from engineering, liberal arts and education to nursing and graduate programs.
Byron Broussard leads the congregation at The Love Center that stands by the motto: "Crossing all the lines, reaching all the people." The Love Center holds services at its main campus, as well as at other locations, including those in Peachtree City and Yatesville.
Worship services are broadcast weekly at 6:30 a.m. Monday through Friday on the "Shake the Nations" program on WATC-TV 57.
