The Seekonk Fire Department responds to all fire and hazard-related emergencies in town. Because a heavy amount of commuter traffic traverses on Route 6, the fire department is always on call. A professional paramedic team and full-time fire fighters are employed by the town. They respond to emergencies; in the event residents are encouraged to call 911.
Chief Alan R. Jack heads the department. The station's mission statement is to "provide the very best in community service."
The police headquarters, built in 1976, is situated just over Route 93 on the other side of the rotary that also leads to the MBTA station. There is also a substation at the South Shore Plaza that is not always manned, but is used by patrol officers when the need arises. About 72 police officers make up the department, and they go out one per cruiser on patrol. The department encourages residents of Braintree to provide crime tips and download necessary forms on its website, where there is also a slideshow history of the force. Special units of the Braintree PD include motorcycle, canine, juvenille and domestic violence.
The Seekonk Police Department works closely with the community to keep residents and out-of-towners safe. Chief Ron Charron heads the department.
Though much of Seekonk is wooded country town, a thriving business district draws traffic causing police to respond to a good amount of vehicular accidents.
In addition to a dispatch call center that works throughout the day and night, the public safety complex employes professional paramedics. A school resource officer works with the school department to educate students.
The fire department is also housed in the public safety complex.
