Berean Baptist Church began in downtown Puyallup in 1969 under the leadership of Pastor Robert Gurganeous and was organized in 1970 with 21 charter members. Since then the church has grown and moved to the South Hill of Puyallup, a growing community of nearly 36, 000 people, near the foothills of the Cascades and under the shadow of Mt. Rainier. Berean Baptist Church is now under the leadership of its fifth pastor, Bob Reno, who plans to follow the Lords direction and guide us as we do His will from the heart, and increase our faith and knowledge in the Lord Jesus Christ.We invite you to come worship the Lord with us this Sunday. In a warm, inviting environment, and through the heart-warming, conservative music and the clear, Bible teaching and preaching in our services, your heart will be inspired to love and to respond to God. Each week, families are strengthened, encouraged, and drawn closer to Him through these special times together. Each service is carefully planned and prayed over so that God may work in your life! When the Word of God is opened and boldly proclaimed, you will be comforted with the knowledge that you are in a place were the presence of God is felt, and you are experiencing church "the way that it is supposed to be."Berean Baptist Church is an independent, fundamental, premillenial, non-charismatic, soul-winning, Bible believing, family-oriented church. We are a church that believes the Bible is the final rule of faith and practice and that Christ is the head of our church and homes. We believe in a traditional style of worship and use Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs that edify the saints and glorify God. We use the King James Version only in all of our church programs.
