"Cater to Yourself" at Pasta Patch, an East Greenwich Italian and American comfort food shop. Hidden by Chianti's on Old Forge Road, the tiny building dishes out big meals for hungry people on the go. Since the establishment is not a restaurant, don't expect to sit and eat — but the lasagna and chicken parm will taste just as good on your own table.
The scent of the freshly cooked meals will make you wish you could sit in the store and eat. However, prepared foods that you take home to heat and eat are the order of the day. Everyday selections such as stuffed shells, chicken marsala and eggplant parmesan are joined by homemade soups like minestrone and pasta faggioli. If you would rather put together your own meal, you can drop in and choose from a variety of sauces and fresh pasta, seven cheese choices, sausages and pancetta plus artichokes, mushrooms and olives.
