The Parks Maintenance Division is responsible for the upkeep, repair and renovation of athletic fields, medians, landscaped areas and recreational facilities. The division s coverage area spreads across more than 550 acres. It manages over 10,000 trees and nearly 19,000 irrigation heads. In addition, the Parks Maintenance Division coordinates with other agencies and departments for special events. The division is a part of the Parks and Recreation Department, which helps in keeping facilities clean and safe. The department has an ocean rescue division that supervises public safety in beaches and parks. The division also administers a junior lifeguard program and hosts awareness classes. The Parks and Recreation Department is governed by the City of Delray Beach in Florida.

Opened in 1977, The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens serves as a center for Japanese art and culture in South Florida. It organizes a variety of rotating exhibitions in its galleries and an educational outreach program with local schools and organizations.
