Bethesda Thrift Shop opened in 1993, with a purpose to help serve residents of Bethesda Lutheran communities. Bethesda Thrift Shop is run solely by volunteers donating their time. This location is one of 25 across the country whose focus is to raise charitable funds through items donated. It offers a wide selection of gently used items from clothing to books and electronics. Stop in and you may find something that takes you back in time, and know that your purchase is going towards a great cause -- to help others in need. Located in the Westwind Shopping Plaza on Highway 101, across from Target.
The post's members have served in a variety of overseas conflicts, including World War II, Vietnam, Korea, Iraq and Afghanistan. The bar and activity room are open to members and their guests. The banquet rooms are available for rent, and buzz with activity during the Post's many events, including holiday parties, Texas Hold-Em tournaments, bingo and Karaoke.
The Minnesota Golf Association was founded in 1901. Soon after it was founded, the MGA introduced the Amateur Championship, which is one of the longest running sports events in Minnesota. The official publication of the Minnesota Golf Association is Minnesota Golfer magazine. Golfers can join the Minnesota Golf Association through a participating club.
