Newark Museum, founded in 1909, collects and exhibits monuments, sculptures, artifacts, paintings, pictures and maps. It offers more than 80 galleries of arts and sciences, gift shops, a zoo, planetarium, cafe, auditorium, sculpture garden, schoolhouse and the Ballantine House.
