The American people have entrusted the National Park Service with the care of their national parks. With the help of volunteers and park partners, we are proud to safeguard these nearly 400 places and to share their stories with more than 275 million visitors every year. But our work doesnt stop there. We are proud that tribes, local governments, nonprofit organizations, businesses, and individual citizens ask for our help in revitalizing their communities, preserving local history, celebrating local heritage, and creating close to home opportunities for kids and families to get outside, be active, and have fun. Taking care of the national parks and helping Americans take care of their communities is a job we love, and we need and welcome your help and support.

The Boise Art Museum was established in 1931, as the Boise Art Association by a group of thirty people interested in promoting art in Boise, Idaho. In 1937, the association s goals were realized through a partnership between the Boise Art Association, the city of Boise, Idaho., and the federal Works Progress Administration. Exclusively managed by volunteers from the Boise Art Association, the 3,000-square-foot art deco building was composed of two galleries and a small office space. Although the gallery did not actively collect, it presented local and regional art. Upon completion of the expansion in 1988, the museum was renamed Boise Art Museum to reflect its focus on developing its permanent collection. In 1997, BAM increased its facilities by 13,800 square feet.

The Warhawk Air Museum was brought to life in 1989 by our co-founders John and Sue Paul as a place to preserve military aviation history. The museum has since become an educational destination for over 5,000 school-age children and 25,000 visitors each year. In the ensuing 24 years, the museum has grown immensely. What started as a tribute to WWI/WWII veterans has expanded to include veterans history from the Iraq War, Persian Gulf War, Vietnam War, Korean War and Cold War. Throughout the museum, donations from community members are also on display to educate future generations about national and local history. Families of local veterans and the veterans themselves have donated one-of-a-kind collections of uniforms, photos, medals, gear and written narratives describing battle experiences.
