The museum commemorates the life of the Wild West legend William F. Cody. He gained the nickname Buffalo Bill for his expertise in hunting buffalo. The museum showcases a variety of timepieces, Indian artifacts, weapons and including Buffalo Bill’s grave, which overlooks the Rockies and Great Plains. Manitou Cliff Dwellings is an archaeological and natural history preserve located in Manitou Springs, Colo., at the foot of Pikes Peak. It features the architectural remnants of an American Indian culture that lasted from about 1200 B.C. until about A.D. 1300 in the Four Corners area of the Southwes. The facility also houses a museum and gift shop. It additionally organizes interactive school tours for students. The facility s museum includes dioramas that depict the daily life of Anasazi people who left architectural legacy on mesa tops and in cliff walls and were built over 700 years ago. Manitou Cliff Dwellings gift shop provides Anasazi artifacts, handmade Indian jewelry, pottery, rugs, blankets and craft items. The facility also hosts reunions, company parties and other special events. Manitou Cliff Dwellings additionally feature traditional Native American dance programs June through August.

Founded in 2004, Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center occupies more than 20,000 square feet of space. The center maintains over 30 life-sized specimens and primarily skeletons of dinosaur. It offers skeletal mounting, preparation, restoration and mold making services. Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center hosts group tours, birthday parties and scout programs. The center provides hands-on learning classes about the casting and molding of fossils for children and adults. In addition, it sells a variety of books, videos, games, real fossils and gemstone jewelry. Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center organizes exhibitions that feature a selection of dinosaurs, flying reptiles and sea monsters. The center is located in Woodland Park, Colo.
