Kodiak Maritime Museum educates the public about Alaskas commercial fishing industry and maritime heritage and to preserve this history for posterity. Located in Kodiak, Alaska, the museum exhibits a series of 24 photographic portraits of fishermen, processing workers, bartenders, store owners and ordinary people who lived through the boom years of the Kodiak King Crab Fishery, which lasted from the 1950s to 1982. Kodiak Maritime Museum is one of the few organizations in the U.S. solely dedicated to preserving Alaskas illustrious maritime heritage.

Alaska Veterans Museum honors United States veterans and ensures that the nation remembers the sacrifices for Americas freedom. Located in Anchorage, Alaska, the museum has a collection of more than 110 oral histories and hundreds of artifacts from veterans dating from World War 2 to the present. In addition to this, the museum educates the public through the collection, presentation and exhibition artifacts, personal accounts and historical acts relating to the history of the veterans. It also promotes activities that enhances or supports the purpose of the museum, as well as supports the veterans, active duty, guard and reserve members.

Denali National Park and Preserve was established in 1917 as Mount McKinley National Park. It features one of North Americas highest mountains, the 20,320-foot tall Mount McKinley.
