Ha'penny Montessori School, formerly known as Willow Montessori School, follows the curriculum -- which includes Spanish lessons four-days-a-week and Zumba dancing every Friday -- pioneered by Maria Montessori. The school accepts children ages 10 weeks to 6 years, offering part-time or full-time day care, preschool and kindergarten.
Arlington Montessori House (AMH) is known as the "Hippo House" by the families of its students. AMH follows the Montessori philosophy of teaching, allowing children freedom to learn within limits. AMH has two classes of 28 children of mixed ages. Each class is taught by a teacher and an assistant. AMH is on a three-year program, and expects their families to enroll their children from age three until kindergarten. AMH is parent-run, and the parents are involved in all aspects of the school.
The Montessori School of Fairfax provides care and learning programs following the Montessori philosophy for children ages 2 to 12 years old. The directors/directresses are AMS/AMI certified. Both half-day and full-day programs are available, as are before- and after-school care. This Montessori also offers enrichment programs.

The school follows the teaching philosophies of Dr. Maria Montessori, so classes include students of different age groups and the faculty provides each individual with the attention he or she requires. Though Montessori School of Oakton is housed in Alliance Church on Vale Road, the school is not religiously affiliated.
The oldest Montessori School in Prince William County, this school provides education for first through sixth grades. Half-day sessions are available for children under 5 years old. Extended care for before and after school is also available at Cardinal.
Community Montessori offers programming for children between the ages of three months and six years. The school follows the Montessori method, in which children, given an engaging environment, pursue their own interests and projects. To that end, Community Montessori students have access to a foreign language lab, a computer lab and a music program, in addition to the wooded setting in which the school is located. The school features half-day, full-day and extended-day programs. It also has a summer camp program.
