WWII Museum on the National Register of Historic Places. The only Military Museum in Broward County. A 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The building is the only reminder from a 200 building naval base complex from WWII. This Museum has been instrumental in preserving the memory of Flight 19 one of the great aviation mysteries. Flight 19 flew out of this Naval Air Station on 5 December 1945 to vanish into the Bermuda Triangle. In addition 19 year old future US President George H.W. Bush lived at this base as an Ensign to train as a torpedo/bomber pilot. A large aviation mural on exhibit was signed by him in 1992 when he visited. On exhibit WWII Link Trainer Flight Simulator (historic engineering landmark). Recreated Soldiers Barracks room. Also vintage photos, books, models, instruments, artifacts, library, ship plaques, period uniforms, 25x7 aviation mural, and other original paintings and drawings. On the grounds there are two WWII torpedoes and a WWI anti-aircraft machine gun.

The Atlantic City Historic Waterfront Foundation (ACHWF) was incorporated in 1976 and functions in a public-private partnership with the City of Atlantic City specifically to operate, preserve and maintains one of New Jerseys premier waterfront destinations, Historic Gardners Basin. The ACHWF is a 501 c tax-exempt organization. Its purpose is to educate the public about the regional environment and the creatures that inhabit it through marine education programs for schools, youth groups and adult tours, preserve and inform the public regarding the areas maritime history, provide public waterfront recreational access and foster the use and development of Historic Gardners Basin. Historic Gardners Basin is located at New Hampshire Ave. and the Bay. Gardners Basin sits on the hub of Absecon inlet commanding magnificent vistas of the Atlantic Ocean, Absecon Inlet Absecon Bay as well as Atlantic Citys three waterfront casinos. The Atlantic City Aquarium, which opened in May 1999, is the most dynamic addition to the basin. The Aquarium provides a first class experience for shore visitors. The Aquarium also offers a unique educational field trip for students. Its a great way to introduce visitors, classes or community groups to New Jerseys Coastal Marine Environment.

The American Victory Ship is one of only four fully operational World War II ships in the country. The entire ship - nine decks - remains virtually in tact: three-level cargo holds, radio and gyro rooms, hospital, galley, weaponry, mess halls, crew cabins, lifeboats, the Captain's quarters, and the engine. This shipboard maritime museum features rare artifacts, exhibits, uniforms, medals, documents and photographs.

Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park preserves a Civil War battleground of the Atlanta Campaign.  The park is 2,923 acres and includes Kennesaw Mountain, along with three historic battlefield areas.  Hikers may explore its many trails, which pass by earthworks and Civil War-era cannons.  The park also offers educational programs such as the Junior Ranger Program.
